Chili Davis is one half of Nocturnal Soul, his solo project is exploring some of the pitched down and disco side of house. Not sticking to one sound or era of music, he is as likely to turn back the clock and play an edit of a classic funk or soul record that you have forgotten that you knew and loved as he is to introduce you to your next favorite record from this year.
Alongside Sean Cormac and Alan M, Chili is part of NYC’s event team Forward Disco which aims to create a fun environment at each event. He has had the opportunity to play at a variety of venues in NYC including Cielo, halcyon, Sullivan Room, Open House, and more.

For this episode we are pleased to present one of the most innovative eastern European producers of electronic music today, Mihai Popoviciu from Romania. He started producing music in 2001 after being influenced by the techno and house virus and it took many years of experiments untill he came up with his first vinyl release in 2005. Since then he has developed an impressive discography with over 200 tracks on beatport. Mihai Popoviciu is the kind of producer that likes to innovate and always refine his varied sound palette, constantly surprising his audience.
It’s not a big surprise that Mihai’s reputation as a DJ grew fast in the past years taking him to Europe’s most important clubs and venues. His flavourous dj sets have a distinctive peronal touch delivering you a perfectly balanced mixture of groovy beats, warm pads and musical emotions that will get you addicted.

Cosmic Cowboys is a project born from the different styles of two young artists from Venice: Nicola Sansoni aka Randomatique and Kaled Jabari aka Kaledj. Great friends since they were 10 years old, they got involved in electronic music when they were 15. Influenced at first by artists such as Ian Pooley, Dj Deep, Chicken Lips, Frankie Knucles and then by names like Minilogue, Ripperton, Trentemoller, Martin Buttrich and Royksopp they developed a style that couldn’t be defined by any term other than “cosmic,” edging between deep-house, dub and tech-house with a quintessential romantic touch, always able to create a special intensity in their music.
They define their sound as “the romantic side of techno.”
We agree.
